Description: Learn how specific bundles of building systems, or Energy Pods, installed in homes under construction can deliver energy and CO2 emissions savings that outperform typical new homes in the marketplace. The Energy Pod is a model for new construction that treats a home's five key areas of indoor energy use — space heating, water heating, cooking, fireplaces, and clothes drying — as parts of a whole-home energy package. This course will compare Propane Energy Pod homes to standard electric energy choices and describe which energy packages make your homes easier to sell.

Win a Portable Propane Generator or
Outdoor Gas Grill

Cut through the hassle of bringing portable power to the jobsite. PERC will be giving away a Generac LP3250 generator on each day of IBS, so stop by the PERC booth for a chance to win. The LP3250 is truly portable: Whereas previous portable propane generators required the propane tank to be separately carried, the LP3250 incorporates a tank holder into the frame itself, so the propane tank sits securely out of the way. The unit produces 3,250 watts and operates for 9 hours on a 20-pound propane tank.

On the third day of the show, booth visitors will also have a chance to win a Fire Magic Aurora A540 gas grill. With a cooking area that measures 30" by 18", flush-mounted side burner, and solid stainless steel unibody construction, the Fire Magic is designed to be the centerpiece of a home's outdoor entertaining area. Fill out an entry form at the booth to enter the sweepstakes. One entry per person, please. Official rules are available on the AGA website.
